Set Up Your Healthy Kitchen Now: A Tip For Busy Women

Hello there!

I'm Master Trainer Charlie!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where I specialize in helping The Busy Woman live a healthier life through fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness.

I know that, as busy women, we are constantly on the move.  We move from the office to get the kids, then to the doctor's office, picking up the dry-cleaning, going to the vet, the grocery store, and everything in between!

As Busy Women it's just another part of our daily routine. But what about our home? Specifically, our kitchen? I mean, sure, we have things we have to do, YES, but we also have those things that we want to do.

Like taking care of our own health and our own well-being. Even as a Busy Woman.

And what if you are where I was over a decade ago? In that case, your kitchen may be full of instant noodles and any other convenience food that can help take the guesswork out of "What's For Breakfast/Lunch/Snack/Dinner that also doesn't take a ton of time to make?"

Am I right?

And because you have goals to live a healthier life, those things you want to do, you may have asked yourself how you get your kitchen to reflect this without it taking all day AND doesn't cost a ton of money?

This where I come in.  My job is to help you, The Busy Woman, by taking things off your plate so you don't have one more thing to do every single day.

So, first things first, take stock of what's in your kitchen right now.  If your kitchen has less than the minimum that's supposed to complement your healthier lifestyle, we have to correct things to help set you up for success! So, let's stock your kitchen so you can make healthy meals to complement your healthy lifestyle.

Let's start with your pantry. Take a look at your pantry and get rid of anything that's ultra-processed. You don't have to toss anything since you can always donate to your local food bank or charity and receive a tax write-off for it, which definitely helps your frugal living stance.

Keep in mind that when you replace things, replace them with minimally processed, shelf-stable, and nutrient-dense foods as much as possible so you have more healthy pantry staples on hand.

You can do this before you grocery shop because it will help you figure out what you need. It will also let you know what you don't have on hand if you don't already have it.

When grocery shopping, choose whole foods, healthy grains, less added sugar, and minimally processed foods.  To stay in line with your frugal living stance, choose produce that's in season, and don't be afraid of frozen fruits and vegetables for those that aren't. And don't be scared to make your own spice combinations.

Read your food labels. The fewer ingredients in the list, the better. If you can't pronounce it, it probably shouldn't be in your food or body.
