How To Like Working Out: A Busy Woman's Tip
Hi!
I’m Master Trainer Charlie!
If you’re new here, I want to let you know that you’ve come to the right place if you want to be somewhere that’s all about helping The Busy Woman live a healthier lifestyle!
So, let me tell you, from one Busy Woman to another, it IS absolutely possible to love your fitness routine.
That’s because, the fact is, loving something, even something you don’t necessarily like, IS achievable. Even when it comes to fitness, if it’s something you’re not necessarily enthused about. But, you want to actually be about #ThatFitLife.
Hear me out.
Sometimes you don’t want to work out. Sometimes you want to put your feet up and take a breath because there’s always so much for you to do that you just don’t want to take the time to do something else.
And let’s be real here, no one is always motivated to work out. Not me, not anyone. No one is. And not only is this natural, it’s also OKAY.
So, what way can you overcome this other than self-motivation?
One of the strategies I started using has been really helpful. Do you know what it is?
It’s by romanticizing a specific aspect of your life, so in this instance, it would be romanticizing your fitness routine.
Think about it. How do you feel when you get a new workout outfit? Do you think your outfit is cute, sassy, fly, sexy, or all of the above? Does getting a new workout outfit help you look forward to your workout even if it’s early in the morning? 9 times out of 10, it probably does! It motivates you to get things done in the gym or the garage.
A new workout outfit motivated you to get in your training session for that day.
This is an example of romanticizing your workout routine. You added something to it that helps you look forward to a great sweat session no matter how busy you are or what time of morning it is.
So, how can you romanticize your fitness routine as a Busy Woman in a more frugal way? It’s definitely not by purchasing outfit after outfit, that’s for sure! Because that would be the opposite of being thrifty, wouldn’t it?
A more frugal approach you can take as a Busy Woman is to mix and match what you already have in your wardrobe. You could also absolutely look on places like Pinterest or YouTube for inspiration.
So, once you get your outfit or outfits together for the week, you can continue to romanticize your fitness routine by taking photos of yourself before, during, and after working out. You can wear your favorite lipstick while you do it or pose for the mirror at any time during your workout. The possibilities are endless and simply depend on what you want to do.
Romanticizing your fitness routine isn’t overrated. It isn’t silly and isn’t restricted to a particular age group.
I personally like to mix and match my outfits, or if I like a certain combo, I will simply change up my hairstyle and shoes to make things “different.”
Another way you can love your fitness routine as a Busy Woman is to use this approach when it comes to getting your daily water intake: Use a water bottle that encourages you to drink enough water each day. Make it cute or sassy. Personalize it.
But don’t stop there.
You can mix and match natural infused water combinations that look pretty while tasting refreshing and delicious, which can be a great addition to your daily routine when it comes to drinking water. Whatever you need to do to help encourage you to drink your water daily.
Don’t like a water bottle? Try drinking your water out of a wine glass, clear glass, vintage glass, or anything else you fancy. I do this myself regularly because after the first time, I quickly realized I liked it! I use sparkling water, ice cubes, and either crushed fresh or frozen fruit, so my wine glass filled with water not only looks pretty, but it tastes delicious as well.
When romanticizing your daily nutrition, intentionally beautifully plate your food. Take the time to make your meals pretty on your plate. Go for the aesthetic look. Mind you, you don’t have to go out and buy new dishes! You can grow or buy a small bunch of fresh parsley to use as garnish, and fresh fruit and vegetables can spruce up any plate. Think of it like this: when you plate your food, get into the habit of wanting to actually take a picture before you dig in. You’re going to eat your meal anyway, so you might as well look forward to doing it, not just because you're hungry and it’s time to eat.
Another way to romanticize your fitness routine is to picture your desired outcome during your sweat session. Imagine that the results you’re working for are already yours! This will give you the drive to not quit. It will help propel you further towards your goals. Because you’re doing more than wishing for it, by imagining your goals are being attained during your training session, you’re actively working for them. You’re actually doing more than hoping for your goals. You’re WORKING for your goals.
This approach further empowers you to take charge of your own fitness and makes you feel like a Bad Busy Woman!
Because you are.
Let that sink in.
These are just frugal and easy suggestions that can help you romanticize your fitness routine. You’re NOT locked in to doing these things. Do what feels authentic and personal to you.
So, romanticize your fitness routine according to how you want to and how your schedule as a Busy Woman allows you to, enabling you to take charge of your own fitness routine so you can achieve your goals.
